The 34-year-old actress wore a gauntlet-inspired piece on her hand covered in jewels. The unique accessory was designed by Sonia Boyajian, a Los Angeles-based designer, who took inspiration from Johansson’s boyfriend, Colin Jost of Saturday Night Live. However, it’s worth noting that Johansson’s gauntlet did not match the order of stones on Thanos’ (played by Josh Brolin) gauntlet in the movie. Spoiler alert!
Absolutely gorgeous: The gauntlet worn by Johansson was crafted by Sonia Boyajian, a talented designer from Los Angeles. Interestingly, the idea for this remarkable piece of jewelry came from her partner, the well-known comedian Colin Jost who is also a member of the cast of Saturday Night Live.
According to the designer, Jost, age 36, was fully invested in creating the gauntlet for the film. The plot involves the Avengers traveling through time to retrieve Thanos’s six stones. The famous actress wore the gauntlet which had a properly aligned Time Stone (green) but with the Soul Stone (orange) in the middle of where the Mind Stone (yellow) usually sits. This sparked rumors that the positioning of the orange stone was a nod to the fate of her character. In the movie, Black Widow and Hawkeye, portrayed by Jeremy Renner, journeyed to the planet Vormir in search of the Soul Stone, which required one of them to make a sacrificial offering. Black Widow ultimately gave her life to spare Hawkeye’s.

According to designer Boyajian, Jost played an integral part in designing the gauntlet worn by Johansson. Jost had a wild idea of creating Thanos’ glove, which Boyajian was able to bring to life. The 18-karat gold glove features a detachable Mexican fire opal that represents the Soul Stone. Boyajian named it ‘the glove of Thanos,’ and she designed it to be worn multiple times instead of just a one-time piece.
