She stated that she is “very proud” of her mother but also wants to give Alma a normal childhood. Despite the success of the movie, Gadot said that it hasn’t quite hit her yet as it’s still too soon. She hopes that the popularity of the film will pave the way for more female-led stories in the industry, promoting equal representation for both genders on screen and in other media. Gadot was at the Palm Springs International Film Festival to receive her Rising Star Award.
