No More Gossip: Scarlett Johansson, who has been nominated for an Oscar twice, has put to rest a former rumor that suggested she had an intimate encounter with her Avengers: Infinity War co-star, Benicio del Toro, in an elevator.

During TheSkimm’s 9 to 5ish podcast, which streams every Tuesday at 9pm EST, a former child star who is now 37 years old discussed the Chateau Marmont elevator rumor. The celebrity explained that the story had followed them for a long time, but they always believed it was outrageous. They went on to say that as someone who is terrified of being caught doing something they’re not supposed to be doing, the story seemed even more absurd to them. The rumor allegedly originated from an Esquire interview with a 55-year-old Oscar winner, who acted coy when asked if they had ever had sex in an elevator with Scarlett Johansson after an awards show. The celebrity repeated the question before saying they didn’t know and leaving it to someone’s imagination. They added that they were sure it had happened before and might not be the last time either but didn’t want to promote it.

Scarlett (pictured on March 16) shared that she constantly had thoughts about how challenging it would be to deal with the logistics of a very short period of time. She found it unappealing and was afraid of getting caught doing something against the rules. To her, this made the story even more absurd.

Johansson enthusiastically shared about her eco-conscious skincare brand, The Outset, which she founded with former beauty/fashion executive Kate Foster Lengyel earlier this year. She expressed surprise at how welcoming the industry has been towards their company, stating that she did not anticipate it. According to Johansson, the industry is transparent, warm, and inviting, with people showing respect towards one another. Contrary to her expectations, it is not cutthroat at all.
